Overview
Gallery Cleaner Swipe Photos is built on a simple principle: your photos are yours. The app processes everything on your device, asks for the minimum permissions needed to do its job, and never uploads your gallery to a server we operate.
TL;DR: No accounts. No photo uploads. Photo access stays on-device. Nothing is deleted without your confirmation. Items removed go to your iOS Recently Deleted album for 30 days.
Photo Library Access
The app requests access to your photo library so it can show you the items you want to review — screenshots, similar photos, large files, or your full camera roll. Photos are read on-device only.
- Photos are never uploaded to a server we run.
- Similar-photo and large-file detection happens locally on your iPhone.
- You can grant full or limited library access in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos.
How Deletion Works
When you swipe to remove a photo, it lands in an in-app review basket — nothing is deleted yet. Only after you confirm the final delete step does the app ask iOS to move those items to the system Recently Deleted album.
- Removed items remain in iOS Recently Deleted for 30 days by default.
- You can restore anything from Photos → Albums → Recently Deleted at any time during that window.
- The app itself does not keep a separate copy of any photo you remove.
Data We Don't Collect
The app is not built around tracking you. We do not collect:
- Your photos or video content
- Personal identifiers like name, address, or phone number
- Contact lists or message history
- Location data
- Browsing history outside the app
In-App Purchases (Pro)
The Pro upgrade is processed entirely through Apple's App Store. We never see your payment information — Apple handles billing, receipts, and refunds under their standard terms. Restoring a purchase uses the same Apple ID that bought it.
Analytics & Crash Reports
The app may collect anonymized diagnostic information (crash reports, generic usage events) to help us fix bugs and improve the swipe flow. This data:
- Contains no photo content, file names, or personal identifiers.
- Is governed by Apple's App Tracking Transparency — you can opt out anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Is used to improve the product, not to build a profile of you.
Third-Party Services
The app does not share your photos with third parties. Any service used for crash reporting or anonymized analytics receives only aggregated, non-personal information about app stability and usage patterns.
Children's Privacy
Gallery Cleaner Swipe Photos is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your Rights
Because the app is local-first, you control your data directly:
- Revoke photo access from iOS Settings at any time.
- Restore items from iOS Recently Deleted within 30 days.
- Withdraw analytics consent from iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Uninstall the app to remove all local app data.
Compliance
This privacy policy is written to align with:
- Apple App Store Review Guidelines
- General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
- California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)
